UK
It started with a passion, as all good things do.
Founders Clare and Michael Marriage sowed their first seeds in 1977 with the simple idea of making great quality flour from their grains. Water, wind, soil and sun sustained their crop, and with a little time and patience, a year later their first grains were ready to harvest. The first stone grinding equipment was installed and they began to mill whole grains into wholemeal flour. They’ve mill organic and heritage flours as well as a range of naturally gluten free flours and also reintroduced some of the UK’s lost ancient grains back to our soils. Rye was first, then Spelt, and Einkorn and Emmer soon followed. Today, they continue to be driven by their original mission to make quality organic flour with care, and the result is a range of unique, distinctive and trusted flours.

USA
Two centuries of flour and baking.
King Arthur Flour has a long and storied history, stretching back nearly to the American Revolution. We’ve been providing bakers with superior flour since 1790: from Martha Washington’s apple pie through the invention of the chocolate chip cookie, from flour in wooden barrels to bags at the supermarket, we’ve been there. Simply put, King Arthur Flour and American baking have been close companions since the very beginning.
Central Milling is the oldest continuously operating company in the State of Utah which has provided the finest quality flour and grains to homes and bakeries across the country since 1867. Even though they have over 150 years of milling experience under their belt, they are constantly learning about what customers need, improving quality and service, while strengthening the bond between the Farmer, the Miller, and the Baker.
They have one of the largest selections of premium specialty flour and grains in the country, hand-selected for the highest baking qualities, milled, cracked, or blended slowly to minimize heat generation, then bake-tested for performance.
